Using OpenWeatherMap, we retrieve 24-hour precipitation forecasts to inform automated watering decisions
Precipitation Forcast (mm)
If the 24-hour projected "mm" forecast is greater than 7.2 mm, then the system will skip the entire day of watering to conserve water usage. If below, the system will then check on sensor moisture readings.
