Design
We designed a project that integrates the latest advancements in analog-to-digital and digital-to-analog conversion and cutting-edge digital effects. The result is a meticulously engineered audio mixer that delivers excellent quality audio with low noise.
Microcontroller
The brains of the operation, responsible for controlling all the other ICs as well as applying digital audio effects, we chose STM32U5G9J-DK2 Discovery kit, which is built around the STM32U5G9ZJT6Q microcontroller featuring an Arm® Cortex®â€‘M33 core with Arm® TrustZone®, plenty of GPIO, and DSP processing capabilities. It offers applications with ultra-low power consumption and optimized graphics rendering with a dedicated NeoChrom Graphics Processor.

Analog-to-Digital Converter
In order to convert a sound to binary numbers, we used the PCM6260QRTVRQ six-channel Analog-to-Digital Converter to accurately transform analog audio signals into a high-quality 24-bit, 48kHz digital audio stream. This ensures precise audio fidelity and compatibility with our system's requirements. The digital stream is forwarded to a specially chosen STM32 microprocessor via an I²S interface, enabling seamless integration and reliable audio processing.
Digital-to-Analog Converter
For the purpose of converting the digital signal back to it analog form, we selected the CS4334-KSZ Digital-to-Analog Converter for its exceptional ability to produce high-fidelity analog audio from digital signals. With 24-bit resolution and support for sampling rates up to 96kHz, it delivers unparalleled audio clarity and precision. Its low distortion and superior performance make it the perfect choice for achieving professional-grade sound quality in our system.

PCB Design
All these ICs are integrated into an intricate PCB, along with the mixer, buttons, knobs, and input/output connectors. We have designed this PCB to reduce noise and improve audio quality and was thoroughly tested and provides amazing audio quality and reliable performance.
