A New Way to View Marine Information

Access course, speed of your vessel and more directly through your mobile device.

What is NMEATrax?

NMEATrax is a solution to the high cost that prevent boaters from accessing the information generated by their marine electronics. With NMEATrax, users can access a comprehensive display of their vessel’s data by simply plugging our device into their existing NMEA network.

More Information

Communication standards define rules for electronics to communicate among each other. Today, boaters rely on networked electronics for recreation and to fulfill essential marine needs, including navigation, communication, and safety. A standard is necessary to define a common set of rules between devices for this to take place.

The National Marine Electronics Association (NMEA) has created the NMEA0183 and NMEA2000 communication standards, both of which have been adopted globally. For efficiency, these standards transmit information in an encoded format. To be made legible by the user, this information must then be decoded by a computer and prepared for display.

Our device, NMEATrax decodes NMEA0183 and NMEA2000 data and makes it available to its users through their internet browsers on their wireless devices.
