Explore the timeline to learn how you can connect with FloraNet!

Each node is equipped with a button to launch the FloraNet Access Point. Press this button and then connect to the Wi-Fi network.

Petal nodes are equipped with QR- codes. Scanning one of these or visiting floranet.local in a modern browser will launch our messaging web app

Users post messages to the public chat forum in our web app from the node they are connected to.

We designed the user interface with common smartphone text messaging apps in mind so the design is intuitive for all users.

The SOS button can be used to send a specially-formatted SOS message to alert others of trouble

The FloraNet web app sends the message from the user's phone to the Petal Radio through the Wi-Fi connection. The message is transmitted to rest of the network using LoRa radio.

FloraNet uses a robust networking protocol so users can receive messages from any other node in the network. Messages "hop" from one Petal to another, traversing the entire network.

Messages will travel through FloraNet without mains power, Internet Access, or a pre-downloaded application. All that is needed to access our network is your smartphone.

Whether you're asking a friend if the campsite is full or sending an SOS message, FloraNet ensures your messages get where they need to go.
