One day, long ago, while enjoying a cold beverage on a hot Hawaiian day, an idea was planted in Duncan's head about a device. A device that can fulfill the need of any hobbyist paranoid about the apocalypse. A device that can communicate with satellites, can teach you about D&D and one that can run Doom all in the middle of nowhere. Duncan brought his idea to the most intelligent people he knew, and they all threw Duncans idea out the window. Devastated, Duncan consulted in his friends Alec and Ruben. They both loved the idea and promised Duncan that those who threw his idea out would rue the day. After a quick stop to pick up Jordon, these four engineering students started their Journey to build this magical device.

Thanks to all our supporters.
Throughout the entire development process of ALBATROSS, we had help from outside sources. While most of the Electronics department instructors helped us in some way, we would like to personally thank Justin Curran for helping with PCB design, PCB troubleshooting, and general design recommendations. Also, we would like to thank Kimberly Lemieux for showing us how to write clean, precise documentation. The Preproom staff for always being an invaluable resource and putting up with Ruben spending many many hours at the soldering station. Finally, Max Amsler, Jay Lesosky, and Dustin Boggs at the Ministry of Land, Water and Resource Stewardship's radio shop, for allowing us to build and test antennas with their equipment, and sharing their general engineering knowledge with us.
