WELCOME TO ALBATROSS LTD

The ALBATROSS workstation provides essential functionality to a community in the event of a natural disaster. Inspired by the recent changes in our environment and the natural disasters that are a result of those changes, this device enables its users to glean information about the world around them. In an emergency situation, users can view up-to-date local satellite imagery, weather information, GPS coordinates, and monitor wide band VHF radio activity while powering the device or charging the internal battery bank from almost any available power source. Face uncertainty with confidence, ALBATROSS guides the way.

OUR BACKGROUND

We started this project as students of electronics and electrical engineering technology with the goal of creating a device that allows users to access information and power in the event of network and/or grid failures. We are proud to showcase our combines skill sets that went toward designing ALBATROSS.
